Emma's first sleepover

At the ripe young age of 3, Emma had her first sleep over at her friend Addison's house! She was soo excited to leave. This picture shows Emma prior to leaving for the sleepover. She sat like this, frozen in the same place for 45 minutes with her backpack on counting down the seconds she could leave.

I had packed her bag in the afternoon. When it was time to leave, the bag felt a little heavier. I peeked inside and saw that Emma had added everything but the kitchen sink! She had added enough underwear for a week, toys, tap shoes, butterfly wings and more. With coaxing we removed some of her stash.
Emma is becoming so indepdent and grown up. Addison's parents said she didn't cry even once for us. She was so excited to be there that the only problem they had was getting Emma to settle down to go to sleep. She finally passed out around 10:30! Times are moving too fast-how is my little girl ready for sleepover?
